    • Thanks, ladies!

      Peggy, he hasn’t raced because he isn’t gentled yet (let alone under saddle). He does have lots of bone, fantastic feet, and a huge stride to go with all that power and enthusiasm. I have my eye on a future Tuetano x Consolation foal as an endurance prospect…

    Sds like my boy 2 yrs ago, all the same symtoms, went to a 2 day 60 mile CTR and 5 min from end of 1st day with P & R of 40/8 he crashed. Off to equine hospital, ULCERS were the problem… you just never know but I had been riding more, not harder, attitude just was not quite right, but still very willing, weight down a bit…

    • Ah, yes. Ulcers did occur to me (been there, done that!) but I don’t *think* it’s the case with Consolation…I’ll bear it in mind though…
